Pick your appliance and what it is doing. The questions change based on your
answers, and the result ranks the likely causes rather than guessing at one.

Loading the questions…
The questions could not be loaded. The written guide below covers the same ground.
How this works
Every question asks about something you can observe without tools and without
opening the appliance: which rack came out dirty, whether the pump hums, where
the water appears, what still lights up. Those answers lead down different
branches, so two people with the same complaint can reach quite different
results.
There are 33 symptoms covered across five appliance types. Each one
ends with ranked causes, the checks that are safe to carry out yourself, and a
clear point at which to stop and call someone.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not give you a percentage or name a single failed part. Nothing here
can measure anything inside your machine, so a confident number would be
invented. The ranking says which explanations fit your answers best, which is
a genuinely different claim.
It will also stop rather than continue where that is the right answer. A gas
smell, an electrical burning smell, visible charring or a breaker that keeps
tripping all end the flow with what to do instead, and no do-it-yourself steps
at all.
